Please read these terms before booking your Wilderest Sauna experience.
1Bookings & Payment
All bookings are subject to availability and are confirmed only once the required payment has been successfully processed and a booking confirmation has been issued.
Prices are listed in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes and additional charges will be added where required.
The individual making the reservation (“Booking Holder”) must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for ensuring that all members of their group understand and comply with these Terms and Conditions and any safety instructions provided by Wilderest.
Additional services, upgrades, extended rental periods, travel fees, delivery fees, cleaning fees, or other charges may apply depending on the booking.
2Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds
Because each Wilderest Sauna experience requires scheduling, preparation, transportation, and reserved equipment, cancellations and changes are subject to our cancellation and refund policy.
Any applicable cancellation deadlines, deposits, rescheduling conditions, and refund eligibility communicated during the booking process form part of these Terms.
Wilderest reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a booking when reasonably necessary due to unsafe weather, road conditions, wildfire restrictions, equipment issues, site accessibility, government restrictions, safety concerns, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If Wilderest cancels a booking and an appropriate alternative date cannot be arranged, the customer will be offered the remedy specified in the applicable booking/refund policy, subject to applicable law.
3Mobile Sauna Site Requirements
For mobile sauna rentals, the Booking Holder is responsible for providing accurate information regarding the intended location.
The site must be reasonably safe, accessible, stable, and suitable for the sauna and associated equipment. Adequate vehicle and trailer access must be available where required.
Wilderest may refuse installation or operation if our team determines that the location presents an unreasonable safety risk or cannot safely accommodate the equipment.
Additional charges may apply where access conditions, travel distance, site preparation, or circumstances differ materially from the information provided at the time of booking.
4Sauna Safety
-No open fire closer then 10meters to the sauna.
Sauna use involves exposure to elevated temperatures and may not be appropriate for everyone.
Participants are responsible for monitoring their own comfort and physical condition. Guests should leave the sauna immediately if they experience dizziness, nausea, weakness, difficulty breathing, unusual discomfort, or other concerning symptoms.
Guests should remain adequately hydrated and take appropriate cooling breaks.
Anyone who is pregnant, has a cardiovascular condition, blood-pressure concerns, a medical condition affected by heat, is taking medication that may affect heat tolerance or hydration, or has other health concerns should seek appropriate medical advice before using the sauna.
Wilderest does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
5Alcohol, Drugs & Impairment
Guests must use the sauna responsibly.
Wilderest reserves the right to refuse or discontinue sauna use where a participant appears significantly impaired or where their behaviour creates a safety risk to themselves, other guests, staff, property, or equipment.
Illegal drugs are prohibited.
Guests are responsible for complying with applicable laws relating to alcohol consumption and possession.
6Children & Minors
Anyone under the age of 18 must have permission from and appropriate supervision by a parent or legal guardian.
Parents and guardians are responsible for determining whether sauna use is appropriate for a minor and for supervising the minor throughout the experience.
Wilderest may establish additional age restrictions for particular experiences or equipment.
7Cold Plunge & Additional Wellness Equipment
Where a booking includes a cold plunge, hot tub, or other wellness equipment, guests acknowledge that rapid temperature changes and use of water-based equipment involve additional risks.
Participants should enter and exit carefully, avoid running or unsafe behaviour around wet surfaces, and discontinue use immediately if they feel unwell.
8Assumption of Risk
Participation in sauna and outdoor wellness activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to heat exposure, dehydration, dizziness, fainting, burns, slips and falls, cold exposure, rapid temperature changes, uneven terrain, outdoor conditions, and interaction with natural environments.
By participating, guests acknowledge these inherent risks and voluntarily choose to participate.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
Wilderest may require participants to complete a separate waiver or acknowledgment of risk before using certain services.
9Damage to Equipment
Customers and guests must treat Wilderest equipment and property with reasonable care and follow all operating and safety instructions.
The Booking Holder may be responsible for reasonable costs associated with damage, loss, excessive cleaning, or repairs resulting from misuse, negligence, unauthorized operation, or failure to follow provided instructions, to the extent permitted by law.
Normal wear and tear is excluded.
Guests must not alter, relocate, disconnect, modify, repair, or tamper with Wilderest equipment unless specifically authorized.
10Food, Beverages & Leave No Trace
Guests are responsible for bringing any food and beverages they would like during their experience unless otherwise included in their booking.
Optional food services, including charcuterie boards or other add-ons, may be available for purchase.
Many Wilderest experiences take place in natural environments. Guests are responsible for packing out their personal garbage, food, beverages, containers, and belongings.
Please never leave food or garbage unattended where it could attract wildlife.
We believe in respecting the nature we rest in. Guests are expected to follow Leave No Trace principles and help us leave each location as beautiful as we found it.
No glass of any kind, including bottles and to-go containers.
11Weather & Outdoor Conditions
Outdoor experiences are affected by weather and changing environmental conditions.
Rain, snow, cold temperatures, and other ordinary seasonal conditions do not necessarily result in cancellation.
Wilderest may postpone, relocate, modify, or cancel an experience where conditions create an unreasonable safety risk, including severe weather, wildfire activity, road closures, flooding, high winds, government restrictions, or unsafe site conditions.
12Arrival & Booking Times
Customers are responsible for arriving at the agreed location at the scheduled time.
Late arrival does not automatically extend the reservation period. Where operationally possible, additional time may be purchased or arranged, but availability is not guaranteed.
For mobile rentals, delivery and setup timing may vary due to traffic, road conditions, weather, accessibility, and other circumstances beyond Wilderest's reasonable control.
13Personal Belongings
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Wilderest is not responsible for personal items that are lost, stolen, damaged, misplaced, or exposed to heat, water, weather, or outdoor conditions during an experience.
We recommend keeping valuables and heat-sensitive electronics outside of the sauna.
14Conduct
We want Wilderest experiences to feel welcoming, respectful, and safe.
Harassment, threatening behaviour, intentional damage, unsafe conduct, excessive intoxication, or behaviour that creates a risk to others will not be tolerated.
Wilderest reserves the right to end an experience where continued participation creates a reasonable safety or property concern. Refund eligibility in these circumstances will be determined in accordance with the applicable booking policy and law.
15Photography & Social Media
Guests are welcome to take photographs and videos for personal use provided doing so respects the privacy and consent of other guests.
Wilderest will obtain appropriate permission before using identifiable customer photographs or videos for advertising or promotional purposes where consent is required.
16Website Use
Content on the Wilderest website, including photographs, graphics, branding, logos, text, designs, and other original materials, may be protected by intellectual property laws.
Website content may not be reproduced, distributed, sold, or commercially exploited without permission except where permitted by law.
17Gift Cards & Promotional Offers
Gift cards, promotional codes, discounts, contests, and special offers may be subject to additional terms communicated at the time of purchase or promotion.
Promotional offers cannot be combined unless specifically stated.
Any expiry dates or restrictions will be applied in accordance with applicable law.
18Privacy
Personal information collected through bookings, inquiries, payments, and website interactions will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.
Payment transactions may also be processed by third-party payment providers and may be subject to their applicable terms and privacy practices.
19Third-Party Locations & Services
Some Wilderest experiences may take place on property owned or operated by third parties or may involve third-party services.
Guests may be required to comply with additional rules established by the applicable property owner, municipality, park, accommodation provider, or service provider.
20Force Majeure
Wilderest will not be responsible for delays or inability to provide services caused by circumstances reasonably outside our control, including severe weather, natural disasters, wildfire, road closures, government restrictions, utility failures, transportation disruptions, emergencies, or similar events.
Where such circumstances affect a booking, Wilderest will make reasonable efforts to provide an appropriate alternative in accordance with the applicable booking policy and law.
21Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada.
Any dispute relating to these Terms or Wilderest services will be addressed in accordance with applicable British Columbia and Canadian law.
22Changes to These Terms
Wilderest may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
The version applicable to a booking will generally be the version in effect when the booking is made, except where changes are required by law or agreed to by the customer.
